How do they work?

Class Championship

Points are awarded in each class (A, B, C, D and E), from 10 down to 1, with each competitor who completes at least one run gaining 1 point.

All events gain points.

Overall Club Championship

Cars are divided into the following classes:

FWD Front wheel drive

RWD Rear wheel drive

4WD Four wheel drive

Points are award in the three classes, from 15 down to 1, with each competitor who completes at least one run gaining 1 point. Winners of these classes will also receive something at end of year prize giving.  All events gain points.

BUT REMEMBER - For the Club Class and Overall Championships, you must have either helped or provided a helper for an event at least once throughout the year.  This will validate your points and make you eligible for the Championships.  Without the validation, your points will mean nothing.

Speed Championship

Points are awarded based on overall placing, with 4WD separated from 2WD, from 10 down to 1, with each competitor who completes at least one run gaining 1 point.  All events except motorkhanas gain points for this. There is a trophy for each group.

Track Championship

The fastest times from each of our track dual sprints (Taupo and Hampton Downs) are added together to find the fastest competitor.

Hillclimb Challenge

The fastest times from each of the two hillclimbs (one gravel, one tarmac) are added together to find the fastest competitor. The Overall Trophy is for the overall winner, and there is also a trophy for fastest 2WD.
